PRIVACY STATEMENT

The purpose of this document (referred to from now on as the “Privacy Statement”) is to inform you, the User, about the personal details concerning you – i.e. any information that enables you to be identified (referred to from now on as the “Personal Details”) – that may be collected by the website www.pca2021-mrs.it (referred to from now on as “the Site”).

This Privacy Statement is valid also for the purposes of Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (the GDPR), concerning the protection of individuals in relation to the processing of their personal details, and to the free circulation of those data.

This Privacy Statement is provided only for the Site www.pca2021-mrs.it and not for other websites that may be consulted by you via links contained on the Site.

The Data Controller, as identified below, may modify or simply update, wholly or partially, this Privacy Statement, informing you when it has done so. Any changes and updates shall be binding as soon as they are published in the Site. You are, as such, invited to read the Privacy Statement each time you visit the Site.

In the event of non-acceptance of the changes made to the Privacy Statement, you are required to stop using the Site and you may submit a request to the Data Controller to have your Personal Details deleted.

If you are aged under 14, pursuant to Article 8, Sub-section 1 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 and of Article 2 quinquies of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Italian Legislative Decree 181/2018, you must legitimize your consent through the authorization of your parent(s) or guardian(s).

1) Personal Details collected by the Site

A. Data and content acquired automatically during use of the Site 
Technical data: the information technology systems and software procedures that enable the functionality of this Site may acquire, during their normal utilization, certain personal details the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. These data are not compiled in order to be associated with identified Users, but due to their nature, they may, through processing operations and cross-referencing with details held by third parties, enable you to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names utilized by you to access the site, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, etc.

B. Data collected using cookies or similar technologies 
The Site uses cookies to make your browsing experience easier and more intuitive. Cookies are small texts strings used to store certain information that may be relevant to you, your preferences or the device used to access the internet (mobile phone, computer or tablet), and are utilized principally to ensure that the Site meets your expectations.

Cookies are not used for the transmission of personal data. However, persistent cookies (i.e. user tracking systems) are used, but only to afford access to the reserved area. As such, your Personal Details are acquired by the site via these technologies.

The use of session cookies (which are not stored persistently on your computer and are deleted when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (constituted by random numbers generated by the server) that are required to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the Site.

The session cookies used on this Site do not have recourse to other information technology techniques that could potentially compromise the privacy of your browsing operations, and they do not enable the acquisition of Personal Details that could identify you.

If you wish to do so, you may block the saving of some or all cookies. However, in such cases, the use of the Site and the services offered may be compromised. To proceed without modifying the cookie operations, you may simply continue browsing.

Session cookies may be used in order to enable access or continued access to the reserved area of the Site as an authenticated User.

Third-party analytical cookies may be installed. They are sent by domains of the aforementioned third parties, which are external to the Site. The use of these cookies is governed by rules set by said third parties, and as such, you are invited to view the privacy information and indications for managing or disabling cookies as published on the relevant web pages.

You must give explicit consent for the use of targeting cookies – i.e. those geared towards creating User profiles. Article 22 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 and Article 122 of the Italian Civil Code on data protection shall be applied.

C. Data supplied by you 
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of email(s) to the email addresses shown on this Site connotes the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s email address, which is required to respond to the requests submitted, along with any other personal details contained within the email(s).

2) Purposes

The Personal Details collected may be used to fulfil the contractual and pre-contractual objectives and to meet legal obligations, and for the following purposes:

- Management of data for subscription to the 2021 PCA Forum. Payments are made via the PayPal system.

3) Processing methods

The Personal Details are processed by means of information technology and/or telematics tools, using organizational methods and logics that are strictly related to the stated purposes.

In certain cases, access to your Personal Details may also be available to parties involved in the Data Controller’s organization (such as, for example, system administrators, external consultants, persons involved in the organization of the 2021 PCA FORUM, etc.). As and when required, said parties may be appointed as Data Managers by the Data Controller, and may be permitted to access your Personal Details whenever necessary, and they shall be contractually obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the Personal Details.

Should the Site allow the insertion of comments, or in the case of specific services requested by you, the site automatically monitors and stores certain identifying details of yours, including your email address. These data are deemed to have been voluntarily supplied by you upon making the request for the delivery of the service. By inserting a comment or other information, you expressly accept the content of the Privacy Statement and, in particular, consent that the content entered may be freely distributed to third parties. The details received may be used exclusively for the delivery of the requested service and only for the time required for the provision of said service.

Information that you, as a User of the Site, consider it appropriate to make public through the services and tools made available by the Site, is supplied voluntarily and consciously by you, exempting this Site from any liability for any resultant legal violations. You are required to verify that you have permission for the insertion of the personal details of third parties or of content protected by national and/or international regulations.

4) Legal basis for the processing operations

The processing of your Personal Details is carried out on the following legal basis:

  • the consent granted by you for one or more specific purposes
  • the processing operations are required for the execution of a contract with you and/or the execution of pre-contractual measures or the activities requested by you in relation to the 2021 PCA FORUM
  • the processing operations are required to meet a legal requirement to which the Data Controller is subject
  • the processing operations are required for the legitimate interest of the Data Controller or of third parties

5) Place

The Personal Details are processed at the operational facilities of the Data Controller and in any other place in which the parties involved in the processing operations are located. 6) Security measures

The processing operations are carried out using methods and with tools that are appropriate for guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of the Personal Details, since the Data Controller has implemented suitable technical and organizational measures to ensure, and which make it possible to demonstrate, that the processing operations are being carried out in compliance with the relevant regulations.

7) Social network plug-ins

There are no external plug-ins for social networks, only links to the profile pages.

8) Period of storage of the details

The Personal Details shall be stored for the period of time required to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected.

In particular, the Personal Details shall be stored for the entire duration of the relationship with you, to ensure compliance with the inherent and consequent requirements, respect for the applicable legal and regulatory obligations, and for the purpose of defense (either direct or of third parties).

Should the processing operations of the Personal Details be based on your consent, the Data Controller may store the Personal Details until such consent is revoked.

The Personal Details may be stored for a longer period if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or in response to an order from the Authorities.

All of the Personal Details shall be deleted, or stored in a form that does not allow you to be identified, within 30 days of the end of the storage period. At the expiry of that period, the right of access, deletion or correction, and the right to portability of the Personal Details, may no longer be exercised.

9) Your rights

Article 13, Sub-section 2, of EU Regulation 2016/679 sets out your rights as the User.

The site www.pca2021-mrs.it informs you of the existence of your rights as the User, based on the following articles of EU Regulation 2016/679:

  • your right to request access to the Personal Details (Art. 15); the possibility to rectify the details you have supplied (Art. 16); the possibility to limit or complete the details held on you (Art. 18); your right to oppose, for legitimate reasons, the processing of those details (Art. 21); your right to the portability of the data (Art. 20)

  • your right to request the deletion (Art. 17), transformation into anonymous form or blocking of any data processed in violation of the law, including those for which storage is not necessary for the purposes for which the data were originally collected and subsequently processed

  • your right to obtain confirmation that the operations of updating, correction, completion, deletion, anonymization or blocking of access to the data, also in terms of their content, have been communicated to those parties to which the data have been disclosed, except in cases where such compliance is shown to be impossible or requires the use of resources that are manifestly disproportionate to the right being protected.

Request should be submitted to the Data Controller without formalities or, alternatively, using the model set out by the Personal Data Protection Authority, or by sending an email to the following address: pca2021.mrs@gmail.com

Should the processing operations be based on Art. 6, Section 1, Letter a) – express consent for use – or on Article 9, Section 2, Letter a) – express consent for the use of genetic, biometric and/or health data, and/or data which reveal religious, philosophical or trades union affiliations, and/or data which reveal racial or ethnic origin, or political opinions – you have the right to revoke consent at any time without prejudicing the legitimacy of the processing operations carried out based on the consent granted prior to revocation.
Equally, in the event of violation of the regulations, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Personal Data Protection Authority and/or to engage in legal proceedings.
